Mother's Day Chewits sweet bouquet

If anybody deserves a treat, it’s mum. Mother’s Day offers the perfect opportunity to spoil your mum. If your mum has a sweet tooth, why not try making a chewtastic Chewits bouquet as a Mother’s Day gift!

Sure, normal flowers and chocolates are great, but nothing says “Thank you for being the best mum” quite like a chewy treat!

In this blog, we’re going to share how you can make a sweet bouquet for Mother’s Day. With the help of Chewie’s Top Tips, you will have a Chewits bouquet to be proud of!

Stock Up On Mums Favourite Chews

A Chewits sweet bouquet for Mother’s Day can be made in three easy steps. To start with, head to your nearest store and stock up on mum’s favourite Chewits flavours. If you don’t have time to get to the shops, don’t worry! Chewits can be purchased online and delivered to your door.

From original Chews in a selection of flavours (Strawberry, Blue Raspberry, Fruit Salad, Cola and Cherry), to seriously sour Xtreme Chews (Xtreme Apple, Cherry and Lemon), make sure you have a wide selection of sweets to make your bouquet!

Don’t forget, Chewits are the outrageously tasty family favourites. Chewits are made from real fruit juice, and all Chewits and Chewits Xtreme sweets are suitable for vegetarians, as they do not contain gelatine.

Chewie’s Top Tip – Buy some fresh flowers to put around the Chewits for a delicious scent (and extra dino-brownie points!)

Chews Your Flowers

Once you’ve got your chews, it’s time for step two – choosing the flowers. There are lots of options when making your own bouquet, but we like spring flowers, especially these lisianthus, but you might chews roses, daffodils or even Chew-lips!

Once you have your flowers, carefully spear the Chewits onto wooden BBQ skewers. Like the most dinolicious kebab ever made.

Vary the colours, make a rainbow, or keep them all the same for a unified bouquet.

Chewie’s Top Tip – Keep the individual Chewits chews in their wrappers, so you don’t end up with a sticky mess before mum is ready to chomp them.

Get Creative With Your Sweet Bouquet For Mother’s Day

The final step of making a sweet bouquet for Mother’s Day is putting it together. This also happens to be the fun part! Presentation is important, but we’re sure your mum will love the bouquet because of all the love, effort (and Chewits!) that have gone into creating it.

Start by holding together the bottom of the skewers along with the flower stems, and secure with ribbon or gardening twine.

Next, lay out a couple of squares of luxury tissue paper on top of a square of brown paper, and a square of cellophane (in that order). Layer the paper and cellophane at different angles so the corners are pointing into more of a star shape.

Put the bouquet in the centre, vertically and start gathering the paper around the stems, securing around the thinnest point-the twine or ribbon. You might need to borrow a friend for an extra pair of claws here.

Secure the centre of the stems with a bright piece of ribbon and a pretty bow.

Write a note to mum and place it inside the sweet bouquet. And try not to chomp on the Chewits yourself before giving it to her!

Chewie’s Top Tip: Spritz the tissue paper with your mum’s favourite scent to give the bouquet an extra special touch.
